API and webhooks for Telegram

Connect your own services to Zion Tools. An API key gives your programs access to dashboard data (balance, accounts, routes and module logs), and a key with write access also sends messages and adds entries. An incoming webhook is a URL your website, CRM, TradingView, Zapier or Make sends a request to, and Zion instantly writes a message to a Telegram chat or an entry to Bookkeeping.

How it works

1

Create a key or a webhook

In Settings → the Webhooks & API tab: a key with “Read only” or “Read and write” access, a webhook with an action and a chat or category.

2

Paste it into your service

The key goes in the Authorization: Bearer header, and the webhook URL goes in the settings of your website, CRM, TradingView, Zapier or Make.

3

Watch the log

Every webhook request is logged: what arrived, what was done and the error, if any. “Check” sends a test request right from the dashboard.

Features

Keys with permissions

“Read only” covers balance, accounts, routes and module logs; “Read and write” adds messages, Bookkeeping entries and AML checks.

Incoming webhooks

They accept JSON, a form or plain text, so any service that can send a request will do.

Message template

JSON fields are put into the text: “Order #{order.id} for {amount}”. Without a template the text field is sent.

From an account or a bot

The message is sent from your Telegram account to any of its chats or by the “Alerts” bot to a chat connected to it.

Security

A key is stored only as a hash and is issued with your dashboard password. No money moves via the API: no top-ups, withdrawals or plan changes.

Log and limits

The last 100 requests of each webhook are in its log; up to 120 requests per minute per key and 30 per webhook.

FAQ

What is a webhook?

A URL that one service sends data to when something happens in it. A Zion Tools incoming webhook accepts such a request (for example, about a new order on your website) and instantly writes a Telegram message or a Bookkeeping entry.

How is the API different from a webhook?

With the API you request data or perform an action with a key whenever you need it. With a webhook your service sends the event itself, without a key: the secret is the webhook URL itself.

What can I do via the API?

Get your balance and plan, accounts and their chats, forwarding routes, Bookkeeping entries, receipts, Alerts and Validator logs, Analytics transactions and your balance history. With a write key you can also send a message from an account, add a Bookkeeping entry and run an AML check.

Can I top up or withdraw money via the API?

No. Top-ups, withdrawals, staking and plan changes are available only in the dashboard. Paid actions via the API (AML checks) cost the same as in the dashboard.

How much does it cost?

Keys and webhooks are free with any plan. A message from an account is sent while your plan is paid and the account is online; a Bookkeeping entry is added when the module is enabled.

How do I receive events from Zion?

Those are outgoing webhooks: in Forwarding, Alerts, Validator and other modules events go to Discord, Slack, MAX or your own URL by themselves. Set them up with the “Outgoing” button in “Webhooks & API”.
